Finally, the rain stopped and the skies cleared about 5:00 pm. We loaded the dingy onto the swim platform, and then headed off to dinner.
We walked about 4 blocks south and chose this "sign" hoping that the food was as good as the sign was... We had fish & oysters (me) and shrimp (the Admiral).
Perhaps the most interesting item was the cheese grits that the Admiral had as a side. They certainly looked much better than normal grits, and they were at least good enough that I was not offered a taste (?).
Tomorrow, we are tentatively headed for St. Augustine about 57 miles north. However, we are open to a change in plans if we see some place that looks interesting along the way.
Given that I love NASCAR auto racing, you should wonder why we are not stopping in Daytona Beach. No other sport starts their season with the biggest dance of the year, which in this case is the Daytona 500 in early February. Well, I am holding out for the "big dance"... (hint, hint)
