Day 51 Last of 4 days of 70% chance of T-storms

Well, it is easy to describe our first full day (July 3, 2013) at Burnt Store Marina:
-heavy rain followed by light rain then intermittent thunder storms mixed with light breezes, high gusty winds, and no wind... Just a generally good day to rest, but luckily for me, the Admiral had a project lined up. We installed a 12 volt DC accessory plug on the side of the instrument consol on the fly bridge.
The name "12 volt DC accessory plug" is a fancy name for what they used to call "cigar lighters" in cars. Of course, most of the auto industry no longer installs cigar lighters in cars, but they do instal multiple "12 volt DC accessory plugs" in most vehicles to run TVs, electronic toys and charge phones, computers, etc. Of course, since this one is semi-waterproof and has the infamous word "marine" attached to the name, it was substantially more expensive than the one in your automobile. Well, given the weather, it did pass the time for a couple of hours... However, as Lucy would say "Good grief, Charlie Brown". The Admiral immediately announced that this one plug is so useful that two would be even better.
The rain totals for the 4 day weather system were over 12 inches ten miles to the south in Ft. Meyers and almost 11 inches 10 miles north in Punta Gorda. Even in this coastal part of Florida, there was street flooding everywhere.
